We're all ready to gas you up!

Rick, Pam and Lee acquired their certification to dispense propane! So, we are ready to fill your BBQ grill tanks, your RV or camper tanks, or whatever propane tanks you have to get you going. Stop on by.

We are having trouble keeping enough quarters on hand to make change for the new washers and dryers. They've been very popular! Thankfully.

Wildlife report:

There is a momma Robin sitting on a nest across from site #1. Its in a redbud tree. She adorned her nest with a piece of white and blue string. Very fancy. I wanted to have a photo to share, but when I try, she flies off the nest, so I decided to stop bothering her.

The groundhogs have moved from the rock house and are now living beneath the grey house. One is really large, perhaps the male, and the other, quite a bit smaller, we presume to be the female of the pair. We have dubbed them Gus and Gertrude. Photos pending... They're pretty fast. When they see us, they run and hide.

Till later,
Pam

Check out our progress like this guy did!

Slow and steady is the process of rehabbing the park to make it what we want it to be. We know we will win this race, just like this little guy did as he checked out the changes.

We have made some electrical improvements and continued to spruce up the music hall this week.
We had to spare a few minutes to take in the beauty of the blooming dogwood (Missouri's state tree) that sits near the east end of the property, but our hard work made this a noteworthy week in Beagle Bay RV Haven & Campground's young life.

On Saturday, we will host our first flea market. Much more is planned for later in the year, as Rick has been on the phone gathering information on organizing a bluegrass festival.

Its a Wild Life, no, sorry... Its Wildlife at Beagle Bay

OK, not every single creature that stays at Beagle Bay RV Haven & Campground is always happy. Certainly not this little critter, who was plucked from his den after it and three litter mates were abandoned by their mother.

A camper brought one of the baby raccoons to show us shortly after wildlife authorities were called and informed about their plight.

Wildlife is abundant at the park, even though it is within sight of busy Interstate 44. In fact, the raccoons share the park with a couple of ground hogs. In addition, a red fox and her playful litter of kits were spotted today, romping in the grass just beyond our secondary music pavilion toward the northwest quarter of the property.

Speaking of music pavilions, the primary music pavilion is continuing to look better with its clean-up and fix-up. Last night it housed another jam session, and it appears that we are ready to begin advertising regular music shows each weekend.

I wonder if the music can soothe this little "savage beast."

Springing with Music!

What a wonderful weekend at Beagle Bay! A local country western band is rehearsing in the music hall. Our own resident, Andrew is burning up the keyboard. Music has returned to the music hall. How appropriate!
The red bud trees are blooming, the flowers are growing in front of the office. The park is finding new life.
